Anchor Bay Technologies has a history of creating innovative technologies for the home theater market. In 1997, Anchor Bay's founders started DVDO, Inc. which created the award-winning DVDO® iScan™ line of video processing systems and the first single chip video de-interlacer that incorporated 3:2 and 2:2 pull-down technology.

More recently, Anchor Bay has expanded their range of video processing technologies, with a view to producing the best possible image quality. The Video Reference Series Technologies has introduced Precision Video Scaling, and Precision Deinterlacing, which are now available as semiconductor products, and have been designed into high-definition video products that focus on outstanding picture quality.
