Software Updates

iScan HD+ 6.7-2.91 Software Release (July 11, 2005)

This software applies to iScan HD+ models only, and must not be loaded into HD units.

This software version includes the following new features:

480i/576i DVI Support (RGB 4:4:4)
This feature allows users to send a 480i signal from a source that has a DVI or HDMI output to the iScan HD+ to be deinterlaced and scaled. This software has been tested with the following sources:

DirecTV HR10-250
Sony DVP-NS975V
LG LSS-3200A
Arcam DV79
Pioneer DV-59AVi

Note: The 'Line Offset' function in the 'Input Adjust' menu also controls the DVI input in addition to the SDI input. This function is to be used if you need to vertically shift the image for this input. This adjustment will not affect any other inputs. Only RGB 4:4:4 is supported.

Full Input Aspect Ratio Control
This feature allows users to accurately specify the aspect ratio of the input signal including custom aspect ratios. The custom aspect ratios can be permanently saved into presets.

Full Output Aspect Ratio Control
This feature allows users to specify the display aspect ratio as well as the active aspect ratios separately. For example, users with 4:3 projectors and 16:9 screens can now map their input into the screen area. There is also an underscan feature which is easily activated with a slider bar.

Image Shift
This feature allows a user to adjust the location of the image on their screen both horizontally and vertically when the 'Screen' aspect ratios not equal to the 'Display' aspect ratio. For example, if you have a 4:3 projector and a 16:9 screen, you can shift the image to match the exact location of your screen.

Increased Range on Frame-Rate Conversion
This feature allows users to output a frame rate frequency between 25Hz and 200Hz, limited by the selected output resolution.

Display Profiles
This feature allows users to save up to 4 different display profiles. We also feature an automatic mode where a display profile can be assigned to an input. This feature is useful in situations where one input needs one display profile while another needs a different profile.

Improved Saved Input Settings
Each input has several independent settings based on format. For example, Video 1 has two independent settings: one for NTSC and one for PAL/SECAM. This is useful for users who use PAL and NTSC on a single input and require different setting for each format.

You will lose your settings when upgrading to this software version from version HDP-5.6-2.30 or HDP-5.6-2.32. Please record your settings on this installation worksheet before installing version 2.91 software. If you are upgrading from Beta 2.87 software, you will not lose your settings.
