The Serial Digital Interface (SDI) standard is used by professional broadcast studios and video production centers (SMPTE259M and SMPTE292M standard interfaces). The advantage of SDI is that the decompressed digital video data is transmitted directly from a modified standard or high definition digital consumer source, such as your DVD player, satellite receiver, HD-DVD or Blu-Ray player, into your iScan VP50^PRO when upgraded with this HD-SDI input module. Your video signal remains in the digital domain, avoiding quality-degrading digital-to-analog and analog-to-digital conversion steps, and thereby retaining the best possible picture clarity.

The Precision HD-SDI Dual Input Module takes this pure digital signal, deinterlaces and scales it (all in the digital domain), converting to any output resolution between 480p and 1080p, allowing you to view all your video sources at their optimum output resolution.

There are two independent connections on the Precision HD-SDI Dual Input Module allowing you to connect 2 SD sources, 1 SD and 1 HD source, 2 HD sources or 2 sources that support both HD and SD.

Accepted Input Resolutions Include: 480i-60, 576i-50, 720p-60, 1080i-50, 1080i-60, 1080p-24, 1080p-25 and 1080p-30.
