Anchor Bay Announces Appointment of John Glass as VP of Marketing and Business Development

Campbell, Calif. - Oct 30, 2006 - Anchor Bay Technologies, a leading supplier of video processing semiconductors (ASICs) and systems, today announced the appointment of John Glass to the position of vice president of marketing and business development. In this role, Glass will be instrumental in defining and positioning Anchor Bay's advanced video processing systems and semiconductor products, and will be responsible for the company's market positioning, distribution strategy, and product management.

Glass comes to Anchor Bay from Core Networks, Inc., where he was instrumental in positioning the privately held company for a successful sale to SupportSoft, Inc. As vice president of marketing and business development, he successfully introduced five new software platforms supporting high-speed Internet access, home networking, and network management for cable and telephone companies.

Prior to Core Networks, as early founder and vice president of marketing and business development for Taqua Systems, a next-generation switch developer , Glass forged the company's distribution strategy, market position, and was instrumental in introducing product into the market. He was key in establishing multiple technical and strategic business partners for channel distribution and product development . Taqua was subsequently sold to Tekelec.

Glass has extensive marketing and senior management experience in the video market as evidenced by his earlier roles as vice president and general manager of business units within General Instrument, Motorola Broadband, and Tektronix. In addition, he held senior executive positions with GTE and Siemens Communications Systems.

He will be based in Campbell, Calif., and report to Craig Soderquist .
