Home Cinema Choice Names the DVDO iScanT HD+ "Video Scaler of the Year" for 2005

Campbell, CA., June 1, 2005 - Anchor Bay Technologies, Inc. announced today that the DVDO iScan™ HD+ High Resolution Video Scaling Engine has been chosen as the Home Cinema Choice Video Scaler of the Year.

The DVDO iScan™ HD+ is a high resolution video scaling processor and A/V switcher that sets a new standard for upconverting, cross-converting and even downconverting all video sources. Whether it's a VCR outputting 480i, a DVD player at 480p, or a Set-top-box at 720p or 1080i, the iScan™ HD+ will scale the output to perfectly match the optimum resolution of the display - 720p, 1080i, or any user-defined resolution up to 1080p. It is HDCP compliant over DVI, and also accepts legacy 480i/480p analog sources. The iScan HD+ functions as a complete A/V hub, providing simultaneous audio/video switching with automatic video upconversion/processing.

In a recent video scaler shootout, Home Cinema Choice concluded that the iScan HD+ was the "outright winner" earning five stars in all categories of testing, including ease-of-use, connectivity, and performance.
