The DVDO iScan Ultra Receives the Stereophile Guide to Home Theater's 2004 Editors' Choice Gold Award at the 2004 International CES

Las Vegas, NV, January 9, 2004 - Anchor Bay Technologies, Inc. was awarded the Editors' Choice Gold Award from Stereophile Guide to Home Theater (SGHT) for the DVDO iScan™ Ultra Video Processor at the International CES 2004 show.

The DVDO iScan™ Ultra video processor is a high-performance 480i to 480p video processing hub. Featuring a total of 7 video inputs, including a High-Definition pass-through connection, the iScan Ultra is a switching & processing control center, optimized for 480p capable displays. The iScan Ultra also features state-of-the-art Pure Progressive™ video deinterlacing, and has fully programmable picture controls with nonvolatile memories for each input.

Every January, SGHT editors and reviewers select the best products from the past year to receive the gold awards. In order to qualify, Gold Award winning products must be within the price range of most home theater enthusiasts. All product candidates must have been either formally reviewed or critically evaluated in an issue of the magazine from January 2003 to January 2004.

In the October 2003 issue of SGHT Steven Stone writes, "it should come as no surprise that my favorite of the three video processors reviewed here is the DVDO iScan Ultra. Although it's the least expensive, the iScan produces the best picture at 480p."
